A box type instrument trolley keeps everything a nurse or surgeon needs on one clean, mobile unit. Two shelves hold trays and instruments, two drawers keep small items out of sight, and four castors let the whole thing glide from bed to bed. Made of stainless steel, it wipes clean quickly and stays looking good in busy hospital use.
Description
Why a trolley like this matters
In a ward or an operation theatre, nobody wants to walk back and forth for a forgotten pair of scissors or a roll of gauze. A good instrument trolley brings the tools to the patient. This one is built to be simple, sturdy and easy to keep hygienic.
The top shelf is the working surface. Place the instrument tray, dressing set, or medicines here. A raised rail around the edge stops items from sliding off when the trolley is pushed [confirm which sides have the rail].
Right under it sit two drawers. ? This is where smaller items live: gauze, bandages, syringes, gloves, and tapes. The drawers keep them covered and tidy instead of lying out in the open.
The bottom shelf takes the heavier or bulkier things, such as a dressing drum, a basin, or extra trays.
Why stainless steel
Hospitals wash and disinfect their equipment all day, and painted or plain metal doesn’t last long under that routine. A stainless steel trolley doesn’t rust easily, doesn’t hold smells, and is simple to wipe down between patients. [Confirm grade, e.g. SS 304 or SS 202.] The smooth surface also means there are few places for dirt to collect.
Movement
Four castors let one person push it around easily, even when loaded. [Confirm: size and whether the castors lock.] If your floors are uneven, ask us about larger wheels.
Where you can use it
- Operation theatres, as a surgical instrument trolley
- Wards, as a dressing trolley for rounds
- ICUs and emergency rooms
- Dental and dermatology clinics
- Pathology labs and treatment rooms
Cleaning and care
Wipe the trolley with a mild disinfectant and a soft cloth, then dry it, especially around the drawer runners. Avoid steel wool, which scratches the surface. Check the drawer slides and castors every so often, and put a drop of oil on the drawer runners if they feel stiff.
